AGRICULTURAL FARM ‘LA RANOCCHIAIA’
The agricultural farm ‘La Ranocchiaia’ is situated in the village of Chiesanuova, on the road that leads to Siena winding through the hills of the Chianti.
Considered as the heart of Tuscany, the Chianti has always been a synonymous with a ruby coloured, dry tasting wine, but it has much more to offer: its altitude, its hills, the composition of the earth and the ideal climate are favourable conditions also for the production of great extra virgin olive oil*. ‘La Ranocchiaia’ is a small, family-run reality that produces olive oil and classic Chianti wine of the topmost quality, with a constant research and attention for the characteristics of the territory and of its typical products.
Nevertheless, although the products are so ‘typical’, the use of modern techiques for the working of such products have proved to be necessary for the obtaining of excellent results.
* With the term ‘extra virgin olive oil’ here is meant the oil obtained from squeezing once the olives once they are ripe; it is considered the best quality olive oil. |
